About The Front Desk Report
The Front Desk Report is an independent testing publication for the software that salons, spas, barbershops, and fitness studios run their front desks on — booking, scheduling, no-show enforcement, and the payment tooling wrapped around them.
We are testers, not stylists. What we bring is a lab: every tool we review gets a real trial account configured as the same fictional salon — the same staff roster, the same service menu, the same deposit and no-show policies, the same deliberately awkward appointments. Then we book, reschedule, no-show, and pay against it from the client's side too, because the booking page your clients see is half the product. When a review says one tool actually charged our no-show fee and another quietly didn't, that's not an impression; it's a result you can see in the screenshots.
Where a review needs the working professional's view — what a double-booked Saturday actually feels like, which support team answers at 6pm — we quote stylists, owners, and front-desk staff and say where the quote came from. We don't claim experience we don't have.
How the site makes money
Some outbound links are affiliate links, and they're disclosed on every page that carries them. We have no employer in this industry and no vendor relationships to protect, which means we can and do publish negative verdicts. Commissions never touch the methodology: every tool faces the same salon.

Corrections, tips, and vendor inquiries: contact page. If we got a price or a fact wrong, we want to know — every article shows the date it was last verified.
